Matthew,

The step-up height on the x32i is 15″ off the floor – this is the height when the deck is NOT inclined. When fully inclined, the top of the deck lifts to 34″ off the floor.

How high is the deck from the floor.

Ainsworth,

Not necessarily. If you run faster than 9mph (6:40min/mile) the deck does get a bit bouncy. The 2950 is better if you plan to run fast speeds or long distances. The x32i is excellent for incline training, hill work, and moderate speeds. For serious runners, we usually recommend the 2950.

Does it return energy to you when you run making you run faster than you would on another treadmill? Faster than on the 2950 for example?

Melanie,

Good question. When set to a flat grade, the x32i is 15″ off the floor. When you incline it to the highest 40% incline, the top of the deck pivots up to 34” inches off the floor. We recommend adding an extra inch or two for bounce as well.

The screen does not swivel. It does pivot up and down, but doesn’t swivel side to side. However, because the screen is so large, you can see it from anywhere in a normal-sized room. The volume is loud and clear as well.

Yes, you can put a treadmill on carpet, although I recommend placing a treadmill mat underneath. Since this machine is so large it will leave divots in your carpet. A treadmill mat protects your carpet and keeps it in good condition.

What is the actual running deck height? We have 8’ ceilings in our basement and I am 5’7”. All the reviews I’ve read put me pretty close to touching my head on the ceiling when at maximum incline so I’m trying to do some calculations myself using the base running deck height as a semi-accurate starting point. Also: does the screen swivel? If I’m watching yoga or weights can I stand in front of the treadmill or will I not be able to see the screen? Our room set-up works best with the weights in front of the treadmill rather than behind or to the side. Lastly – treadmill on carpet ok? Medium pile carpet. Many thanks!

Our x32i comes up as iFit Audio on our Bluetooth list. If you hit the Bluetooth button on the x32i console, it should send out a signal to be picked up by your phone.
